Crypto Deposit Bonus Guide: How It Works and How to Claim It

A crypto deposit bonus gives you extra trading credit when you fund a broker account with Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT or another coin. This guide explains how the credit is calculated, which rules decide whether you can withdraw it, and how to avoid the crypto-specific mistakes that cost traders money.

What is a crypto deposit bonus?

It is a promotion where a broker adds a percentage of your crypto deposit to your account as bonus credit. If you send $500 worth of USDT and the offer is 50%, the broker adds $250 of credit. The credit raises your margin, so you can hold larger positions or survive deeper drawdowns. It is not free cash: you usually need to trade a set volume before the credit, or the profit made with it, can be withdrawn.

Crypto-funded bonus

Paid when you deposit by BTC, ETH or USDT, often with a higher rate than card deposits.

Credit, not cash

Added in USD or your account currency and used as margin, not as coins you can send out.

Unlocked by volume

A lot target, often 1 lot per $2–$5 of bonus, decides when it becomes withdrawable.

How the bonus is calculated

The broker converts your coins to the account currency at its rate when the blockchain confirms the deposit. The bonus percentage is applied to that converted amount, up to the offer's maximum. Here is a worked example for a 50% bonus with a target of 1 standard lot per $5 of credit:

You deposit500 USDT
Converted$500
50% bonus+$250
Lots to unlock50 lots

Your equity shows $750, but only your $500 is your money. If you withdraw before the 50 lots are traded, most brokers remove the $250. If BTC or ETH is your deposit coin, its price later rising or falling does not change the bonus, because the credit is fixed in the account currency.

  • Minimum deposit: small crypto deposits are often excluded from the bonus.
  • Conversion rate: the rate and fees the broker uses to credit your coins.

Crypto Deposit Bonus FAQ

What is a crypto deposit bonus?

It is extra trading credit a broker adds when you fund your account with cryptocurrency such as BTC, ETH or USDT. The bonus is usually a percentage of the deposit, from 10% to 120%, and it is credited in your account currency, not in coins.

Can I withdraw a crypto deposit bonus?

The credit itself can rarely be withdrawn at once. Most brokers let you withdraw it, or the profit made with it, only after you trade a set number of lots. Your own deposit can normally be withdrawn at any time, but doing so early often removes the bonus.

Which coins can I deposit to get the bonus?

USDT on the TRC20 or ERC20 network is the most widely accepted, followed by BTC and ETH. Each broker lists the coins and networks it accepts. Sending a coin on the wrong network can mean the funds are lost.

Is the bonus calculated on the coin value at deposit?

Yes. The broker converts the crypto to your account currency at its rate when the deposit is confirmed, and the bonus is a percentage of that converted amount. Later price moves in the coin do not change the bonus.

How many lots do I need to trade to unlock it?

A common rule is 1 standard lot for every $2 to $5 of bonus, but it varies widely. Check the volume target and the time limit in the offer terms before you deposit.

Does a crypto deposit bonus absorb losses?

Some bonuses work as margin that can absorb drawdowns. Many others are removed as soon as your own balance reaches zero. The offer terms will say whether the credit is loss-absorbing.

Is a crypto deposit bonus better than a forex deposit bonus?

The bonus rules are usually the same. The difference is the payment route: crypto deposits arrive faster and work in more countries, but you carry network fees and conversion costs, and some brokers require withdrawals back to the same wallet.

Are crypto deposit bonuses safe?

A bonus is only as safe as the broker paying it. Prefer regulated brokers, check our scam brokers list, test a small deposit first, and remember that leveraged trading carries a high risk of loss.

Risk warning: Trading forex, CFDs and crypto on margin carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. Crypto prices are volatile and blockchain transfers cannot be reversed. Bonus offers are subject to each broker's terms and may change without notice. Some links on this page are affiliate links.
