How to choose a prop firm
Start with the rules that end most evaluations early: the daily and maximum drawdown limits, whether the drawdown is static or trailing, and the time limit (if any) to hit the profit target. Then compare the profit split and how quickly and by which methods the firm pays out — the best firms pay within days by bank transfer, crypto or e-wallet. Check the platform (MT4/MT5, cTrader, DXtrade, TradeLocker or Match-Trader), the instruments and leverage, and the one-time fee for the account size you want. Finally use the discount code shown on each review: most firms refund the fee with the first payout.
Profit target, daily loss, max drawdown, minimum trading days and news/weekend rules decide how realistic the challenge is.
Profit split (80–100%), first-payout waiting time, payout frequency and available methods for your country.
Years in business, regulated payment partners, public payout proofs and how the firm handles rule breaches and refunds.
